Great question. There are many variables to this question. From location, to how many people will be in the session. During my stylist consultation, we will go over some ideas and I also send outfit combinations for the whole family and where to buy.

No. However, the most important job that you have in your upcoming photo session is your family wardrobe selection. This is crucial and the results can go from water to wine when selecting the correct outfit. You can select an outfit that you already have it but I encourage you that you use my wardrobe consultation to understand the colors and why certain types of clothes are preferable for your session. That is a free consultation and you will have wardrobe ideas and where to buy for the whole family.

Usually it takes up to 3 weeks to deliver your personalized photo session gallery. All photos are individually edit to make sure you will have Rafa Pires signature editing style. From that gallery you will be able to share with family and friends and also download your high-resolution images.

I love working outside with natural light (the exception is newborn portraits, which are always done inside your home.) There are a few categories of location but basically we talk so I can see what you like and what type of location fits with your family and personalities. The sessions can be in nature (trails, lakes, fields, parks, vintage etc), beaches, urban (city, downton, train station, etc) or something more unique, usually for couples, like desert, canyons, hangars and airports, roof top, etc. During your pre-video consultation, I’ll help you decide which is the best location to tell your family’s story.

Yes. Iove to shoot pets. The only restriction is that some locations don't allow pets. So, during our consultation, please let me know if you are bringing a pet so I can select locations that allows it.

It depends on size. I understand that some families want to bring grandpa and grandma which is ok however some situations like having the entire family of brothers and sisters together it wont work. Be mindful that this is your photo session and focus in your immediate family.

I try and keep my sessions very natural, capturing the moment and just being a witness, so it's lots of fun and not too much posing. You wont hear me saying "Say cheese" and my sessions are minimally staged. My style is 100% storytelling and mhy goal is to capture the moment not just a beautiful pose.

My sessions are usually at sunrise or sunset. These are the best time for natural light. I encourage you to book your session during the week days since it tends to be less busy and undisrupted background.

If rains, we will follow up and make sure we find another date to accomodate your photo session. If is just cloudy, we will proceed with the shoot. Cloudy days might not look the best but actually makes photos way better than harsh light.

Yes. Your package of choice might be limited with a set of images but I always deliver your gallery with many more images so you can purchase additional ones if you like or all of them at a discounted price.
